Dryer Vent Wizard of Northern Virginia, a Neighborly company, is closely monitoring COVID-19 and its impact on our community. Since we are considered an essential business, much like plumbers and electricians, we are open and actively servicing customers. The health and safety of our customers is our highest priority during this time. While we cannot control the severity or unpredictability of this virus, we can take preventive measures to limit the spread and impact of COVID-19.
We are currently acting with prudence in our day-to-day operation with basic preventative safety measures following the guidance set forth by the U.S. Federal Government, Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and other health agencies, including:
Cleaning hands with soap often, for at least 20 seconds.
Using an alcohol-based hand sanitizer when soap and water are not available.
Keeping a safe distance (6 feet) from people who are sneezing/coughing.
Cleaning frequently touched surfaces.
Covering cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throwing tissue in the trash.
Staying home when sick.
Obstructed dryer vents are the source of thousands of house fires every year. During these unprecedented times, it’s especially important to keep your home safe. Ignoring or failing to recognize the signs of a clogged dryer vent can have disastrous results, including the loss of life and property. Lint and debris accumulate in dryer vents and cause clogs that can lead to a number of dryer vent problems. When airflow in a dryer vent is restricted due to clogs, there is an increased risk of fire, carbon monoxide poisoning, wasted energy and time, and excessive wear to clothing.
At Dryer Vent Wizard of Northern Virginia, we are taking special precautions to ensure the safety of our customers and employees, and we can even perform services such as cleaning, vent cover replacement, and bird nest removal without ever entering your home. Our scheduling center will remain open and continue booking appointments. Please let us know in advance if you have any additional questions or if there is a way we can further accommodate you during this unique time.
